I bet you’ve seen those cool looking usb flash drives that looked like a little tanker ship, or literally a thumb. You might wonder how much these usb pen drives cost to make and how to get around getting some made. This is easier than you’d think, with this many companies around looking for your order you can have them made in a matter of days for a really low price.

Usb flash drives have been on the raise in popularity since their first introduction in 2000. The first devices ever were 8MB in capacity and were just a little faster than floppy drives, but their reliability made up for it. Nowadays these flash drives are so common you don’t notice them anymore.

Back in the days someone who had a usb drive attracted some stares, but now it’s just as common as a key chain or a a pen tossed on the table. Nobody really notices them because they’re an every day item and it makes them really good for advertising.

Something that doesn’t attract much attention is a good place to put a sneaky logo to, because when someone does notice it, they’ll remember. They’ll think “how cool is this pen drive, I would have never thought of putting myself on it”. They’re cheap too. They’re the plastic bags of IT.

You can get your logo or ad printed on them for as little as a few dollars a piece. Most services offering custom usb items also provide the devices for an oem price. For 50 pieces ordered you can have an 1GB drive printed, delivered in less than a week and that is a great way to promote your business.

There are small scale printing companies who print your design on any pen drive they sell, or you provide for $10. You can have one or two printer or 200 just as easily, but the more you order the cheaper they will be.

It’s a nice gift idea too. I’m sure you can think of something you’d put on an USB pen drive for your boyfriend or girlfriend.

Pen drives are common every day item, but with a nice personal touch you can have an unique usb flash drive that you can either have as a comfortable way of transferring data or as a gift idea. These are available in any size and shape, from 64MB promotional pen drives to 4GB for professional branding.

  1. It’s not just about what’s on the outside of the USB drive, it’s also about what’s inside. Companies can load lots of cool content onto the USB drive, such as videos, handbooks, catalogs, connections to websites, anything that better connects the customer to the company is possible.
