Intel Atom processors are mobile processors made for ultra portable use with low power consumption and simple architecture to achieve high performance to power ratio. These processors have been around for more than two years and they’ve found their ways into netbooks and nettops. Atom architecture on the other hand is neither revolutionary nor the best solution for the problem.
