Atom Processor

The Intel Atom processor is not a new thing, these chips have been around for three years now and with little modifications you are still using the same piece of design produced in 2007. There are three different models used in low-end netbooks, and a few others in higher price category models. They are different in clock speed and power usage, L2 cache and other bits but the general result is fairly unified; not so powerful.

Atom CPU is a central processing unit from the model range of Intel’s Atom architecture. These processors are made for light-weight notebooks catering for price-sensitive market, but during recession they made their way into the main stream. Now that economy is on its way back to where it was it’s a valid question if we still need Atom processors. We do.
